The 4-Item Pocket Smell Test (pk/50)

Description

The 4-item pocket smell test is a 4 odor, forced-Choice Screening Test. A very brief screen of gross olfactory dysfunction.

This test will be delivered in a package of 50 tests.

Available versions Pocket Smell Test

The pocket smell test with 4-items is available in the following versions:

• Version A: chocolate, strawberry, smoke, leather
• Version B: soap, grape, onion, gas

Pocket smell test

Versions A & B are the basis for the olfaction test of the 2013-2014 US. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). See Rawal et al. (2015) Chem. Percept. 8,138-148; Liu et al (2016) BMJ Open 2016:6:e013246. Doi:10.1136/bmjopen-2016-013246.

If the test subject misses two or more of the four test items, then the 40-item Smell Identification Test (UPSIT) should be given to accurately quantify smell loss degree.

Expiraty date

Please note, all Sensonics smell tests have a shelf life up to 6 months after production. This means that the smell tests have a shelf life of approx. 5-6 months upon delivery. If you need larger quantities over a longer period of time, please contact us for a quote. We can then split the order into several deliveries so that you always use valid smell tests.
