Description

The Brief Smell Identification Test (B-SIT) by Sensonics International (USA) is a globally recognized and scientifically validated olfactory identification test. This scratch-and-sniff smell test provides a reliable measure of olfactory function within just a few minutes. Containing 12 everyday odors, the B-SIT is widely used for fast clinical assessments, large-scale studies, and health screening programs.

It is contained in a single booklet and will be delivered in a package of 10 tests with which you can test 10 people.

Brief Smell Identification Test (B-SIT)

The odors are well known in most cultures. This version of the test employs the following odorants: banana, chocolate, cinnamon, gasoline, lemon, onion, paint thinner, pineapple, rose, soap, smoke and turpentine. Percentile norms, based upon 4,000 subjects, are available within the B-SIT Administration Manual.

Its standardized method allows for international use and easy comparison with normative data. The normative data can be found in the manual of the BSIT which has to be purchased seperately. If this is the first-time ordering, we recommend purchasing the administration manual which also includes 1 scoring key.

Expiraty date Sensonics tests

Please note, all Sensonics smell tests have a shelf life up to 6 months after production. This means that the smell tests have a shelf life of approx. 5-6 months upon delivery. If you need larger quantities over a longer period of time, please contact us for a quote. We can then split the order into several deliveries so that you always use valid smell tests.
