LANG Stereotest Application

The LANG Stereotest I-R is intended for screening stereoscopic vision in children and adults. Its unique design allows the test to be performed without special test glasses, making it ideal for young children and less cooperative patients. The test is widely used for the early detection of binocular vision abnormalities, such as amblyopia, microstrabismus, and anisometropia.

Operating Principle

The test card contains random-dot stereograms that only become visible with properly functioning stereo vision. The use of a lenticular surface creates three-dimensional figures without the need for red-green or polarized glasses. People with intact stereo vision recognize hidden figures, while those with absent stereo vision cannot perceive them. This allows for a quick and objective assessment.
