Multi-Foil Bags

Multi-Foil bags provide light and moisture protection for low molecular weight compounds such as hydrogen that are unstable when collected in standard bags such as Tedlar sample bags. The multilayer foil bag are available with a polypropylene, PTFE or stainless steel fitting. These 2-in-1 fittings combine the valve and septum into one, the valve stem is 3/16″diameter.

We offer the bags with different fittings:

• Multi-Foil bags with polypropylene valve
• Multi-Foil bags with PTFE valve
• Multi-Foil bags with stainless steel valve

Multi foil bags are available in various sizes and are generally available from stock.

Multi-Foil Bags

As the name suggests, these bags are made of multiple layers of foil (5 layers) and thus offer additional protection against light and moisture. Multi foil bags are recommended for sampling low molecular weight compounds such as methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, provided the analysis is carried out within 48 hours.

• Protective 5-layer foil minimizes gas permeability
• Protects light-sensitive compounds
• The multilayer foil material is robust yet flexible and water vapor proof
• The inner surface is inert and minimizes the absorption and adsorption of the compound
• The gases remain stable in these bags, in contrast to their collection in standard bags such as transparent Tedlar sample bags.
