How Does the SureScreen Pregnancy Test Work?

During pregnancy, the body produces human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone that can be detected in urine shortly after implantation. The concentration of hCG generally increases rapidly during early pregnancy.

The SureScreen Pregnancy Test uses lateral flow immunoassay technology to detect hCG in urine at concentrations of 25 mIU/mL or higher.

The test can be performed at any time of the day, although first morning urine is recommended because it generally contains the highest concentration of hCG.

How to Use

1. Remove the pregnancy test from its sealed foil pouch and remove the protective cap.
2. Hold the absorbent tip in the urine stream or immerse it in a urine sample collected in a clean, dry container for at least 15 seconds.
3. Replace the cap and place the test on a clean, flat surface.
4. Read the result after 3 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.

Interpreting the Results

• Positive (pregnant): Two coloured lines appear, one in the control region (C) and one in the test region (T). Even a faint test line indicates a positive result.
• Negative (not pregnant): One coloured line appears in the control region (C), with no line in the test region (T).
• Invalid: No control line appears. Repeat the procedure using a new test.

If pregnancy is still suspected despite a negative result, repeat the test after 48 hours using first morning urine. Consult a healthcare professional if uncertainty remains.
